But for Shahbaj and Asstha, it was the walk that marked the beginning of forever. They got ready at their Airbnb nearby, soaking in the California sun and quiet excitement of what was about to happen. I arrived at Leo Carrillo State Beach ahead of them, holding onto a beautiful bouquet (yep, photographer and part-time flower fairy here!) and pretending to be just another beachgoer while I waited for the moment. Asstha had no idea. And when he dropped to one knee, the look on her face said everything!
